Spore

The PC topic's been really empty so I've decided to beef it up... a little..

A game I've been looking forward to for 3 years, and that's now out, Spore.

Spore is a brilliant game in which you can make your way through 5 different stages: Cell, Creature, Tribal, Civ, and Space.

In the cell stage, you play it kinda like Pac-Man and eat food to try and evolve.

In Creature you go around, mate, kill creatures, gain more parts, and customize the look of your creature.

In Tribal you take charge of your Tribe and try to become a dominant race and, find technology.

In the civ stage, you strive to control the entire planet.

In space, you go through space and colonize, blow up things, pretty much anything; There's also an enemy race to destroy... or sometin...

You can essentially create any type of creature you want through a very cool system. You can create your creature, buildings, even trees!

I highly suggest you guys checking this game out, as it has immense potential and looks like a ton of fun.

Just so you know, the only reason I don't have it now, is because my computer now is crap. I'll be getting a new one this month.

So many spaces/paragraphs... each line only one line long, makes it look kinda cool...

You can do so much, it's hard to explain it all... I'll post a link to a ton of videos later. There's been so many videos... I'll look for some that'll explain things well. Some are half an hour long! Lots of fun videos.

Yeah. You NEED this game.

I've been waiting 3 f'in years. The second I get a new computer, This game'll be the first thing in it...

So, if you've not been following Spore for as long as I have, you may not know that Spore has been one of the main causes of of a ton of videogame controversy. EA, being quite the douche, has been trying to do all it could fuck the game up. It's tried on quite a few different Piracy protection things, most dieing quickly due to angry feedback from fans.

That being said, now that Spore has been released, there's one last problem... The DRM fiasco. EA has, idiotically, decided that people who buy the game can only put it on 3 different computers; so if you have 4 computers you want the game on, tough luck... and you can only have 1 account. That means if you have friends or family that want to play, they have to play on your account and that always leads to the possibility of the screwing with everything you ever tried to work for in the game.

And this is proof that EA has fucked up.

Say, if you can, I'd like you to test something for me, since I won't be able to do anything with spore till about the end of the month. (Getting new computer, definitely, around the end of this month!)

If you've unlocked the Planet Buster, and you don't care if you waste it on nothing, I've had an idea that might end up being truly awesome, though it'd take quite some time to perfect.

Essentially, Find a nice expanse in space where it stretches of in 2 directions for a long while without coming into contact with another object in space. At that point, fire the Planet Buster into space so that it won't hit anything. Now, go fast as possible, zoom out and get ahead of the Planet Buster so that you're looking right in front of it, and then shoot another Planet Buster directly at the first one so that they both hit each other head on.

I think this would be a truly awesome thing to see, and might even create a secret achievement of sorts, or, possibly, create a black hole.

I'd suggest, if possible, recording it too and putting it on youtube, cause it's bound to be awesome. If you do that, then give me some credit for the idea. ><

If you don't do it, I'll end up doing it eventually, but it could take a while since I plan to take up a long time in each stage.

Oh, and I envy your ownership of the game >_<
